WildFest

Community web app for a two-day wellness festival in Venezuela — the schedule, announcements and the people coming, all in one place, with Google sign-in and an organiser CRM for approvals, roles and event settings.

The event

WildFest is a community wellness festival in Venezuela — two days of yoga, meditation, Pilates, nutrition talks, music and community sessions led by local studios and hosts. "A community festival, made by the people who show up."

The organisers needed one place for everything about the event: the dates, the venue, the schedule and the latest news — and a way to know who was actually coming.

What we built

A small, fast web app for the festival's attendees. Anyone can see the essentials; members sign in with Google to get the full schedule, the team's posts and the community. Organisers get a CRM to approve members, assign roles and edit the event without touching code.

Built from first commit to live in just over two weeks, in time for opening day.

How it works

  1. Sign in with Google — no passwords; only your name, email and profile photo are stored.
  2. Get in — in open mode everyone is admitted instantly; in approval mode new members wait until an organiser lets them in.
  3. Follow the festival — the full schedule, and announcements from the team as plans come together.
  4. Join the circle — an animated orbit of member avatars shows everyone who's coming.

Key features

  • Calendar — month and agenda views, filters across 7 categories, and add-to-Google-Calendar
  • Posts — Markdown editor with live preview, cover images and pinned announcements; members can post when organisers allow it
  • The circle — a community page showing every member, as an avatar orbit and as a plain list
  • Organiser CRM — approve or block members, owner/admin/member roles, per-person permissions, private tags and notes, CSV export and an event settings editor
  • Security first — 200+ tests on the Firestore security rules, so members only ever see what they're allowed to
  • Zero backend cost — runs entirely on Firebase's free tier: Auth, Firestore and Hosting, no servers or cloud functions
  • Mobile-first & installable — bottom tab bar, installable from the browser, and a page shape that paints before the app finishes loading
